Orthotics:

Lisa Cohen MS PT

Orthotics are custom made insoles which are designed to correct for abnormal foot function.  The Physical Therapy and Health Center has been working with A. A. Orthopedic and Sports (www.aa-orthopedics.co.il) for many years.  Their team of expert orthotists have provided us quality orthotics and the most advanced orthotic technology.  They are the only orthotist in Israel with orthotics produced by CNC technology.

What do orthotics do?  Orthotics are prescriptive arch supports which are used to correct foot posture.  Correcting foot posture helps to eliminate foot, knee, hip and back pain.

  • Flat feet

  • High arched feet

What is Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) originated in ancient China and has evolved over thousands of years. TCM practitioners use herbs, acupuncture, and other methods to treat a wide range of conditions.

Herbal remedies and acupuncture are the treatments most commonly used by TCM practitioners. Other TCM practices include moxibustion, cupping, massage, mind-body therapy, and dietary therapy.
The TCM view of how the human body works, what causes illness, and how to treat illness is different from Western medicine concepts.  Acupuncture has the largest body of evidence and is considered safe if practiced correctly. Some Chinese herbal remedies may be safe, but others may not be.
TCM is typically delivered by a practitioner. Before using TCM, ask about the practitioner's qualifications, including training and licensure.
